Let's start with the entryway. Our entryway is large so we have two areas. I designed the floor plans on purpose to include two areas. One side is the console table to sit things on. The other side is a spot for guests to hang coats and sit down to take shoe on or off.

I designed the kitchen myself when making our house plans and then when ordering cabinets. I really wanted open shelf storage which I know some people do not like but it provides interest. I also went with marble and unlaquered brass. Our microwave, mixer, and coffee machine are hidden in the cabinet. Also, we have a double sided fireplace that we can enjoy from our kitchen with a tv above it.

The great room is the most used living room. This space is big and tall and I wanted it to feel warm, comfortable and you want to curl up and read a book. I accomplished this by bringing in layers: layers of rugs, curtains from floor to ceiling to soften the space, super comfortable but beautiful furniture, and some color but not too much.

My husband works mostly from home so having a functional, useable office was a must. He does a lot of video calls so built in shelving behind the desk provides a nice background. This room is the only color drenched room in the house and I love it.

We recently finished the basement. I think the exercise room is now the most used room in the house. Check out my discount codes for 15% off the flooring. It is so nice!

The Master Bedroom and Master Bath: the goal here was calm and natural feeling. I wanted to feel peace as much as possible in these rooms because it is where you sleep. I used neutral colors with a little color, woven shades, and calming shaped furniture.

Unique features in our home are hallways and wall coverings. I love an open concept but there is something special about a good hallway moment. I also love adding wall coverings: this includes the wood panel stair well, wallpaper, and art. Thank you for being here! I would love if you sign up for my weekly newsletter and blog posts.
