Favorite Before & Afters in my Home
A home doesn’t have to be completely renovated to feel entirely transformed. In this before-and-after look at my living room, dining room, bedroom, and office, I’m sharing how color, texture, and thoughtful details brought each once-white, plain space to life. See how small design choices—from layered decor and richer tones to personal finishing touches—created rooms that feel warmer, more inviting, and distinctly ours.
ROOM MAKEOVERS

Before: bright, white, and beautifully blank.
After: layered with color, texture, and the little details that make a house feel like home. From the living room and dining room to the bedroom and primary bath, each space now has its own warmth and personality.
Which transformation is your favorite? ✨

The dining space might be my favorite room transformation. The table and chairs are the same; except I sanded and destained the table a mate black stain so it isn't as shiny. I added wall paper, curtains, a bigger plant in the corner, a beautiful vase center piece, and a new chandelier.

The living room has under gone quite the change as well. It started out sparse and unusable. None of my family ever hung out here and the windows and view and high ceilings gave it great bones. It very much needed more comfortable seating and lots of layers. One of my favorite DIYS in here was making a frame for the fireplace and adding Roman Clay to the fireplace area. The color added more warmth. Adding more comfortable seating and layers of pillows, rugs, curtains, and blankets made it a room we started to gravitate towards. It has now become my favorite room in the house.

Another huge transformation. I wanted this room to feel calm, collected, and cozy. It took five years to get to this second picture. The cream wall paper, softer fabric bed, a rug that fit the space, ottomans that brought some interest, and nightstands that worked in the space.

The office had a few fun DIYs that took it from okay to great! The first thing I did was paint the ceiling to match the walls. Then we had always planned to add built in shelving to the back wall. It contains an extra counter for a work space.
This was a fun one for me to put together and see the changes. Just a reminder that all this just didn't happen over night; it has been years in the making, planning, saving, and creating. A beautiful, loved home take's years to accomplish.
